The grant has been distributed throughout the 2010s. For the past three years, the focus has been on parental leave with young children. In the last two years, 10 of the county's 13 municipalities have received money for this. Värnamo, Sävsjö and Gnosjö have not applied at all.
- The effects we can see are that people in these initiatives learn the language, make contacts and thus establish themselves more quickly in society, says Giovanni Rojas, integration developer on the county administrative board.
One purpose of the grant is to give the municipalities the opportunity to test integration methods that today are not included in ordinary operations, but which could do so in the future.
