“Those who really can be attributed to the“ heavenly hundred ”were a little more than half, somewhere around 50-60 people. And all the rest were included in this list by accident, intentionally, illegally, mockingly in relation to what happened and in relation to the people who died. Because they killed some on their own, others didn’t have anything to do with what was happening on the Maidan, and others were recorded by chance, ”the politician said.

Medvedchuk also stressed that the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko violated the law by listing these people on the lists of dead heroes of the "Maidan".

“His fault is direct. And in the fact that he recognized these people, those who were not related to the "Maidan," heroes, and that for five years he heated this story with the "heavenly hundred" and at the same time did nothing to investigate the true events on the "Maidan", - concluded Medvedchuk.

Earlier, the acting head of the State Bureau of Investigation, Irina Venediktova, clarified the death toll during the “Euro Maidan”, which in Ukraine is called the “heavenly hundred”.

According to her, we are talking about 2.5 thousand victims, 78 dead civilians, 13 dead law enforcement officers, citizens of Ukraine, 14 thousand volumes of criminal proceedings.

At the same time, according to official statistics of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated April 11, 2014, the “heavenly hundred” included 105 dead civilians, of whom 94 were injured during clashes on Institutskaya Street.
