Jenny Nyman is originally from Nyköping and has previously worked in Brandkärr. When she found out that a preschool in the area had burned, she wanted to act.

- My first feeling was that I wanted to help, so I wrote a post about starting a clothing collection on Facebook and then there were a lot of people who wanted to join, she says.

"Not everyone can afford"

Jenny herself has children in preschool age and knows that children have a lot of clothes at preschool. Clothes that have now burned up.

- It's all about lined rain sets, overalls, changes and shoes. These are expensive things and not everyone can afford to buy new at once, she says.

On Facebook Jenny's post had almost 90 comments already on Thursday evening but so far the collection has not started, first Jenny needs to find a place where the clothes can be submitted.

The municipality buys

On the municipality's website it is written that the preschool has decided to buy outer clothes for the children who need it during preschool, but the clothes must not be taken home by the parents. According to Ewa Björnfoth, the headmaster of the preschool, the municipality has no opportunity to handle donated items at this time.

- We await the fact that we have replacement rooms ready and refer to private initiatives in various Facebook groups for the time being, says Ewa Björnfoth in a press release.
