Amadou Gon Coulibaly set out to convince his audience, mainly made up of ministers and members of cabinet, of his satisfaction at the end of the political dialogue between the government, political parties and civil society on the electoral code.

According to him, there is agreement in principle on 4 points: citizen sponsorship of candidates, raising the deposit currently from 20 million to 50 or even 100 million CFA francs, the minimum rate of votes to be reimbursed the deposit would be lowered from 10 to 5% ... Agreement still, according to the Prime Minister, on electoral transhumance.

Amadou Gon Coulibaly also recognizes disagreements, but " not that much ". " We dramatize for nothing, " said the head of government. " We haven't signed a document, but that's okay. It is not because we have not signed a document which consecrates the four points of agreement that we are going to say that the dialogue did not take place or failed. The dialogue took place, it was inclusive, everyone was present. There were open discussions and I therefore welcome the points of agreement. "

This week, the main opposition parties denounced an attempt to force the government into force over the electoral code. The opposition which reproaches him especially for having dismissed from the outset the question of the independence of the Electoral Commission.

These parties appeal to the arbitration of the Head of State. An option that the Prime Minister seemed to dismiss by describing the future path of the text, transformed into a bill, to the Council of Ministers and then to the National Assembly.

During his press conference, Amadou Gon Coulibaly also praised the action of the government, in particular in the social field. Tried as a potential RHDP candidate for the October presidential election, he said it would be up to the party to nominate his candidate.
