The audience religiously listens to the film Kota Da Ti Ngbanga . We see populations who do not always understand the slowness of the judicial process. The special prosecutor of the Special Criminal Court Toussaint Muntazini calls the Central Africans to be patient.

To the people of the Central African Republic, we would like to send a message of hope, a message based on the effectiveness of the progress of our judicial work. We remind them that justice evolves at its own pace which is punctuated by deadlines to be respected at the various stages of the procedure in order to comply with the law. This may seem frustrating, but it is important to follow all of these steps to ensure the success of the trials. Rest assured that our determination remains full and whole in the fight against impunity in the land of Zo kwe zo. "

The European Union has announced that it will release a new budget of 2.5 million euros to support SPC. " This support from the European Union is addressed to all Central Africans whose demand for justice has never been greater ," explains Samuela Isopi, the EU ambassador to the Central African Republic. The country cannot turn the page without breaking this vicious cycle of violence and impunity. We ask the Central Africans to have confidence to familiarize themselves with the Special Criminal Court to approach victims' associations so that they can make their voices heard and obtain redress through justice. "

In all, 8 judicial files are under investigation, 15 other files are currently under study. Investigations have already led to the arrest and pre-trial detention of several people.

Present this evening at @ FBanguiRCA alongside @SamuelaIsopiEU to show our support for the Special Criminal Court. The SPC, an essential institution to break "the vicious circle of violence and impunity". @UEenRCA #CPS #CPI https://t.co/gk6dQKAR1A
