The Director of the Children and Juveniles Branch in the Social Support Centers in Abu Dhabi Police, Major Abdullah Nasser Al Alawi, affirmed the stability of the child victim of the incident of abuse at the hands of her mother, noting that the social support centers follow the child’s situation and provide psychological support to the child and implement judicial decisions in this regard.

Abu Dhabi police had arrested a mother who had tortured her child, after video clips circulated on social media platforms, showing a woman beating a child inside a house, as many social media pioneers believed that the accused was a servant, but investigations revealed that she was the mother.
Abu Dhabi Police stated after the arrest of the accused, that there are family disputes between the mother and father, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution to take the necessary measures, explaining that the incident was met with widespread condemnation from the tolerant Emirati society that rejects violence in all its forms.

Abu Dhabi Police confirmed its lack of tolerance in prosecuting all who harms children, and taking everything necessary in accordance with the procedures of the law, stressing that the United Arab Emirates has enacted laws and legislations for children, including the Child Law No. 3 of 2016, “Wadima”, which guarantees the rights of the child From the moment he was born until he reached it.
