Several cases of suspected swatting have occurred in Sweden lately. That's when a person falsely alerts the police that a serious crime is being committed in a home, at the same time as any live streams from there, just to see the police get into the home.

In Sweden, a number of young women playing computer games and live streams on the American site Twitch have been affected. In Sweden, no one has been physically harmed in connection with police calls - yet. In the United States, however, the "joke" has led the American intervention force (SWAT) to kill an innocent boy.

"That's the situation you can face as a police officer," says Johan Thalman, press spokesman for the police.

He goes on to say that the police are seriously considering the fact that "swatting" has spread to Sweden, albeit not to a large extent.

- The police are exposed to danger on the spot, but also the person who lives in the home, as well as the third person who is near the address. We might as well have been able to send our regional response force.
