Voluntary Air Force is part of Swedish emergency preparedness and serves as a flying resource for various important societal functions, such as forest fire monitoring. This means that, for example, management systems with responsible executives are required, according to the Swedish Transport Agency.
- In many respects, the operation of the Voluntary Air Force is similar to a commercial, specialized aviation operation in accordance with EU regulations. As a result, it is more complex than a regular private flight and requires more safety barriers, says Björn Holm, section manager of the Swedish Transport Agency.
