“The State Duma adopted at the plenary meeting on February 20 in the third, final reading, amendments aimed at expanding the program of maternal capital,” the report on the website of the lower house of parliament said.
As noted, now the size of the capital is increasing: if the first child was born or was adopted from January 1, 2020, then payment of 466 617 rubles is provided.
At the birth of a second child in such a family, the matcapital will increase by 150 thousand rubles and will amount to 616 617 rubles.
It is emphasized that maternity capital will be indexed annually.
The father can also apply for funds for the first-born - if he is the only adopter of the child.
The State Duma press service also indicated that the FIU "will decide to issue a certificate within five business days instead of 15."
On February 19, the State Duma adopted in the second reading amendments expanding the capital program in accordance with the proposals submitted by the president in a message to the Federal Assembly.
