People who choose to live and work in municipalities where it is extra difficult to arrange for the provision of skills should be able to get help to reduce their few tuition debts.

"Easier to recruit"

Hultsfred and Högsby are two municipalities in our area that the municipal investigation points out and that could be relevant for this type of support. In the municipality of Hultsfred Lars Rosander (C) is a municipal council, he thinks it is an interesting proposal.

- Yes, I think it can be good for both our municipalities and make it easier to recruit both within the private and the municipal, he says.

Is it difficult for you to recruit?

- Well, like that. It may well be a bigger problem to arrange work for a partner or spouse. But that's another issue, he says, and is basically positive about that particular proposal when it comes to the municipal investigation that was presented on Wednesday.

Doubtful to municipal debt relief

On the other hand, he is doubtful of the proposal presented by the inquiry, which means that the state could take over debts from the municipalities that voluntarily merge.

- I am very doubtful about this, I do not think that a debt write-off is what should motivate municipal mergers. Municipalities that have invested a lot will get rid of their debts, while municipalities that have saved and been cautious will not, he says.
