“Investigative bodies of the Far Eastern Investigation Department for Transport of the IC of Russia have instituted criminal proceedings on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Russia (violation of safety rules for operation and movement of the aircraft), ”the press release said.
According to the investigation, the plane, which made a charter flight to Seymchan, Magadan Region, made a hard landing near the airport runway.
To investigate the circumstances of the emergency, an investigative-operational group was created. The criminal case was taken into personal control by the head of the investigation department.
Earlier it was reported that the An-2 aircraft belonged to a private company and transported its workers on duty.
On the morning of February 20, the private An-2 plane, on board of which there were 12 passengers and two crew members, made a hard landing shortly after take-off at the airport of Magadan. All those on board were able to leave the plane on their own.
