A person suspected of being the author of the shootings that killed at least eight people in Hanau, near Frankfurt in Germany, was found "dead at his home," police said on Thursday.
"The likely perpetrator was found lifeless at his home in Hanau. The police special intervention forces have also discovered another body there. The investigation is ongoing. Currently there are no indications that there are other perpetrators, "police in the southeastern state of Hesse wrote on Twitter.
