The President called “ensuring the state’s economic security and combating corruption” one of the FSB’s top priorities

“Strategically important sectors of the economy should be more actively cleared of crime, and positive experience should be used to identify criminal patterns in the financial and tax spheres, in the fuel and energy and defense industries,” Putin said.

According to him, it is necessary to strictly observe the rights of citizens and business entities, and if information is received about violations of the rights of entrepreneurs by supervisory, control bodies, it is necessary to promptly "respond to this information."

As the head of state emphasized, the FSB should establish tight control over financial flows going to national projects, without interfering with their implementation.

“The anti-corruption work that you should conduct in collaboration with colleagues from the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Accounts Chamber, Rosfinmonitoring and other structures, relying on the support of society and citizens, should also become more active,” he added.

First of all, according to Putin, it is necessary to pay attention to the anti-corruption protection of national projects.

Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin called for strict observance of the funding schedule for national projects.

In March 2018, Putin, during a panel meeting, also called on the FSB to effectively fight corruption.
