Soon, the referral period goes to the investigation Increased state presence in Härnösand, which the Ministry of Civil Affairs has ordered. The investigator has called on five authorities; The National Board of Education, the National Agency for Education, the Chamber of Colleges and the aid authority SIDA, to relocate parts of their activities to Härnösand.

Delayed credentials

The Swedish National Agency for Education's referral came a few weeks ago. The National Agency for Education strengthens relocation because, in their estimation, it would mean that the issuance of teacher credentials would be delayed if it were moved to Härnösand. The National Agency for Education believes that the entire school system would be affected, as there is already a shortage of legitimate teachers.

A similar reasoning for the National Board of Social Services whose credentials have been proposed to move to Härnösand. Identifications to 22 different occupational categories risk being delayed in a move. They also cite consequences for office services and IT security, which they do not consider the investigator to be illuminated.

"Not suitable for relocation"

The Swedish Tax Agency, which just a few weeks ago was allocated a plot for its archive in Härnösand, agrees with the choir and barricades the relocation of registry care to Härnösand.

The Chamber College is proposed to move its interpreting and translator activities to Härnösand. "The business is not suitable for relocation," the authority writes in its opinion and also refutes them.

Criticism of the report

The Chamber is critical of the entire investigation which, according to the authority, gives an "incorrect description of the business". The Swedish Tax Agency, in turn, believes that the investigator's proposal is based on a "misconception regarding what activities the Swedish Tax Agency is currently conducting in Härnösand."

SIDA has not yet submitted its opinion on the investigation, which aimed to relocate about 70 jobs to Härnösand.
