In China, where a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) struck, shared vehicles with even vinyl partitions have emerged to prevent infection between drivers and passengers.

Dicchusing, China's largest car sharing service and taxi application (app), has launched a vinyl divider installation support program for registered vehicles to prevent the spread of Corona 19, Hong Kong's South China Morning Post (SCMP) and the United States. Business Insider reported.

In a statement, Dedichusing announced a total of 100 million yuan (about 17 billion won) to respond to Corona 19, and will implement nationwide safety measures, including the installation of vinyl partitions that block driver and passenger seats in shared vehicles.

The installation of vinyl partitions in the vehicle is expected to be effective in preventing the corona 19 splash infection.

In a statement, Didichusing said, "As the health authorities call attention to citizens on public transportation, we are implementing a variety of corona response measures, including this one."

Dedichusing made the decision to assist in installing the cubicle with input from medical professionals.

Didi Chuxing plans to launch a vinyl partition installation program in several cities, including Wuhan, the epicenter of China's Corona 19, Shenzhen, a technology hub, and Taiyuan, a province of Shaanxi.

Dedichusing spokesman did not specifically mention how many of the participating vehicles.

The company said it is supporting 30 million drivers in 2018.

Dedichusing is a car sharing service that distributes the nearest participating taxi or private car through its mobile app. It is called 'Chinese Uber'.

To protect drivers and passengers from Corona 19, Dedichusing has set up service facilities in 148 cities across the country to provide services such as shared vehicle disinfection, driver body temperature measurement and free mask distribution.
