Applause for a strong penalty for the high school in Uppvidinge

The administrative law goes on the School Inspectorate's line in the case against Uppvidinge municipality. The Administrative Court considers that the municipality should pay a penalty to the state of SEK 300,000 due to deficiencies in the upper secondary school that have not been rectified.

These include shortcomings in special support for students who need it.

The School Inspectorate visited Uppvidinge high school already in the fall of 2017 and found several shortcomings. The municipality was then fined SEK 500,000 unless the deficiencies were rectified.

But when the School Inspectorate returned to the municipality in the fall of 2018, they were not satisfied with all the municipality's measures, which is why they have now decided that the municipality will pay part of the original fine, that is SEK 300,000.
