Ajman Municipality and Planning Department revealed the experimental smart parking management system, which is the first of its kind at the state level, which depends on smart cameras equipped with equipment and techniques to monitor paid parking in the Emirate of Ajman in a digital way in an exceptional step to help the inspectors of the department in monitoring parking violations, It will be officially launched this year.

Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al-Muhairi, Director of Infrastructure Development Sector, said that the department seeks to convert all its systems and services into smart systems and provide the best and easiest means for the beneficiaries of this system, in line with the transformation of the Ajman government from e-government to smart government in accordance with the guidance of rational leadership.

Bin Omair confirmed that the project was implemented using the latest technologies and in accordance with international best practices, where digital cameras monitor violations of cars that do not meet the parking reservation fees, and automatically send this information to the department's smart central control system.

He added that the experimental smart parking management system seeks to dispense with human cadres and work using artificial intelligence and cameras to monitor violations, so that Ajman is the first emirate to physically implement the smart system at the state level.

The department is also in the process of completing the experimental system and starting to officially launch the system on Corniche Street and Sheikh Khalifa Street during the current year, and smart cameras are currently working in the field and monitoring abuses in an experimental manner without registering violations to their owners, to ensure the correctness of entering violations
