In a written question, the elected representative of Pas-de-Calais "questions" the Minister "on the regular violations of the law of October 11, 2010 prohibiting the concealment of the face in public space and on the refusal of the public authorities to enforce. "
"During a trip to Mulhouse dedicated to the fight against Islamist separatism, Emmanuel Macron was photographed a few centimeters from a woman wearing a niqab", notes the deputy for whom the President of the Republic does so "shows a humiliating laxity by accepting this provocation and by letting the offender ostensibly violate the law of 2010 ".
This sequence "(illustrates) the glaring helplessness and dramatic cowardice of Emmanuel Macron in the face of communitarianism" and "recalls that the law prohibiting the wearing of the full veil is not respected in our country", estimates Mr. Bilde.
"Before initiating the republican reconquest, we should already apply the law of the Republic, all the law of the Republic, nothing but the law of the Republic, everywhere and all the time," added the elected official.
"What happened to this woman in full veil in front of Macron? Was she arrested as required by law?" Asked the president of RN Marine Le Pen on Tuesday evening in a tweet to which was attached a photo of the scene.
"To face communitarianism, we must already apply the law in all its firmness and put an end to these incessant provocations," she added.
