Actually, the bridge would be around February 8. But the weather has set it for the 140-meter-long gold bridge that will hook the Old Town with Södermalm. For about two weeks the ship has been stationary on the Mediterranean.

But on Wednesday, happy news comes about the bridge shipped from China.

- The ship has left the Mediterranean and is expected to arrive around March 1, says Eva Rosman, communications manager.

Shutdown is extended

The delay has meant that the closure of Stadsgårdsleden also needs to be extended. According to Eva Rosman, it will, at present, be closed until March 5. But the weather may set it again for the gold bridge.

- This may change, it is a large vessel that is affected by the wind and wave changes, says Eva Rosman.
