The acquisition offer launched by Intesa on Ubi Banca has given wings to the securities involved but also to the shares of the sector. Intesa marked a 2.36% increase, while Ubi grew by 23.55% reaching the exchange value levels. Bper, on the other hand, fell heavily (-10.8%) on which some costs will be discharged. Banco BPM and MPS also performed well, gaining 5%.

Thanks to these purchases, the Milan index, the Ftse Mib, closed with an appreciation of 0.41% while the other European exchanges marked negative closings: London -0.69%, Frankfurt -0.75% and Paris - 0.48%.

Negative trend also for Wall Street, where the Dow Jones and the Nasdaq at 17.30 marked -0.91% and -0.45%.
