There are about ten reports of car burglaries in the parking lot at the Hyllinge trading venue in the past more than a month. That the burglary is happening right there, police inspector Bo Blixt thinks it is no accident.

- We think they stop to make their break there because the highway gives them a quick escape route from there, he says.

Similar mode

The police have yet to arrest or suspect the burglaries. The approach is similar in all cases. The thieves strike while the motorists are inside the shops and shopping.

- They break a box and take what any careless car owner left behind, in all cases it is about computers or mobile phones, says Bo Blixt.

The police are now urging - again - motorists not to leave any valuables. And don't cover up valuable gadgets with jackets or other items.

- I don't think that's appropriate. It just creates even more interest in the thieves, he says.
