The Syrian police managed to save a young child imprisoned in a room in the village of Sulfatiya, similar to an animal barn, lacking the minimum necessities of life and closed with iron chains.

According to the Syrian Ministry of Interior, the child was found by the police forces in a locked room with iron chains, in a poor condition, suffering from fear, cold, hunger and disease.

The room was dark and in a dire condition, as there was no electricity or heating, its windows and its door without glass and its ceiling did not return cold and rain.

Full health care was provided for the child, and investigations revealed that the child had been imprisoned in this room and his feet bound with baskets for months by his father and his father's wife.

The couple mistreated the child, dumped him with food debris and denied him most of the time.

The father and his wife were arrested, and on interrogation they confessed to what was attributed to them, and that the reason for their actions was the misery of the child, as they said, and his absolute mother refused to receive it.
