On Tuesday morning, union representatives were informed of the planned settlement, which was published on Monday evening. During the day, general information went out to all employees at Bombardier Transportation's three facilities in Västerås.

- We have received the information, feel no concern, work on as usual, writes IF Metall's chief safety representative in a text message to SVT Västmanland.

The message should not have been entirely unexpected, given the increased competition in the market - mainly from China. But it is still too early to say how the deal will possibly affect the business locally. More about that in the clip.

- We unions must probably be prepared for more questions about the job opportunities. It is natural in such a situation, says Andreas Magnusson.
