Putin and Berdimuhamedov noted the significant contribution of regions and large companies to the development of bilateral economic cooperation and agreed to continue close contacts at various levels.

The conversation between the leaders took place at the initiative of the Turkmen side.

In August, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry announced plans to establish a ferry service with the Astrakhan region and the regions of the North Caucasus.
