It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Zyuganov’s Telegram channel.

“I believe that Mr. Aranovsky’s trick is quite in the spirit of constant attempts by external and internal Russophobic forces to pervert the history of Russia,” he wrote.

According to the politician, “such vile” statements of this kind look on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory of the Soviet people over fascism.

“Such statements are categorically unacceptable and require a tough response from any responsible authority,” Zyuganov added.

Earlier, Aranovsky proposed not to consider Russia as the successor of the USSR, since he believes that the Soviet Union is an “illegally created state”.

Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov also praised Aranovsky’s position.
