During the transfer of power with Olivier Véran, the new Minister of Health, Agnès Buzyn, who now replaces Benjamin Griveaux for the municipal elections in Paris, was particularly moved when he said goodbye to his colleagues.

It was in tears that Agnes Buzyn left the Ministry of Health on Monday. The one who since Sunday replaces Benjamin Griveaux as head of the LREM list at the municipal elections in Paris, could not hold back his emotion during the handover with his successor, the deputy Olivier Véran.

In the hall of the Ministry of Health, facing the press and her now former collaborators, Agnès Buzyn was long applauded. In his ten-minute speech, the voice was often thin, strangled by sobs. "It is with great emotion that I leave the Minister of Solidarity and Health. Leaving this ministry is a heartbreak. [...] To all those who work in this very beautiful ministry, I want, from the bottom of my heart , say thank you. At all times, in difficult times, I could count on your very high level of skill, "she said.

A campaign on the hats of wheel

The ex-minister also spoke to his successor Olivier Véran, whom she was familiar with. He is a colleague whom she knows well, and in whom she has absolute confidence. The new Minister of Health has shown that he wants to get to work quickly, especially in the face of the coronavirus crisis. He also praised the results of Agnes Buzyn. "No one can predict history, but she will remember that it was you, Agnes Buzyn, who initiated an unprecedented change [in this ministry], while our country was going through an unprecedented social crisis."

Agnès Buzyn then left avenue Duquesne, greeting her collaborators one last time, sometimes hugging them, before slipping: "I have 15 minutes left to recover from my emotions and go to my campaign headquarters!"
