According to Pushilin, Donetsk during the conflict managed to adapt to the constant pressure from Ukraine, and any attempts by Kiev to “suppress” anything are doomed to failure.
“The position put forward by Zelensky is not new for us. For six years now, the Donetsk People’s Republic has been under constant pressure from Ukraine - shelling and blockades - and has already proved that Ukraine can try to “suppress” the people of Donbass, but it won’t work out, ”said the head of the DPR.
Together with these, Pushilin emphasized that to date, the authorities of Ukraine have not taken a single step to coordinate with the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics the legal aspects of the special status of Donbass.
Zelensky said earlier that he was not going to negotiate with the authorities of the DPR and LPR.
