Washington (dpa) - US President Donald Trump has spoken out for more restraint in Russia in the Syria conflict. The US wanted Russia to end its support for "regime atrocities" by Bashar al-Assad, Trump said in an interview with Turkish head of state Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He also advocated a political solution to the conflict. On the phone call to Erdogan on Saturday, Trump was concerned about the violence in Idlib, the White House said.
