Motorists beware. The A 11 motorway has been cut off from traffic for around 12.15 hours following an accident involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle near Ancenis (Loire-Atlantique), east of Nantes. The truck lay on the tracks. The load of 20 tonnes of wood chips spread on the road.

The truck's 500-liter diesel tanks were damaged. Fortunately, the pollution caused was contained by wood chips, say the firefighters of Loire-Atlantique. Three people injured and had to be rescued.

The highway is completely cut off from traffic in the Paris-Nantes direction. A traffic jam of more than 3 km has formed, reports Bison Futé. In the direction of Nantes, Paris, traffic is restricted.
