The weather this Sunday will suffer the effects of the "Dennis" depression which will cause heavy rains in the north-west of the country, where Finistère and Morbihan have been placed on the alert orange "rain-flood", according to Météo-France.
In the night from Saturday to Sunday, turbulent weather will set in from Brittany and the Pays de Loire to the Belgian border, with frequent and sometimes heavy rains, accompanied by a strong southwest wind, with gusts up to 80 to 100 km / h on the Breton peninsula and the Channel coasts, and 60 to 80 km / h inland.
Wind 120 km / h on the coast
After a temporary lull at the end of the night, over Brittany, the north of the Cotentin and the edges of the Channel, in the morning the rains will intensify markedly.
Sunday afternoon, rainy weather will generalize, sometimes giving significant accumulations, in particular over the southwest of Brittany. This rainy degradation will be accompanied by a clear strengthening of the southwest wind will blow up to 100 km / h over Brittany and the Channel, and locally 110 km / h at 120 km / h on the coast.
Mild weather in most of the country
In the interior, from Pays de Loire to Belgium, gusts will reach 70 to 90 km / h. The rains and wind will ease at the start of Sunday evening. In the rest of the country, the weather will be less agitated. On the Mediterranean rim, the sea entrances will bring a lot of greyness, sometimes a little rain on Languedoc from the afternoon, especially on the Cévennes.
Elsewhere, the weather will be rather sunny but under an often cloudy sky. The minimum temperatures will be between 7 and 12 degrees from the English Channel and the Belgian border to the Atlantic coast and around the Gulf of Lion, between 4 and 9 degrees elsewhere. The highest will be increasing, and the mildness will dominate with 14 to 20 degrees over most of the country, and up to 21 to 26 over the extreme southwest.
