February 16, 2020 Sardines are in the square today in Rome. And even before starting the event organized in Piazza Santi Apostoli, the controversy started.

The attack is directed by the deputy minister of the 5-star Movement for Economic Development, Stefano Buffagni, who had already accused the Bolognese movement of "collusion" with strong powers after the shot with Benetton.

Buffagni on Facebook raises doubts about the costs of the event and wonders if the Benettons are the ones paying.

The response of the Roman sardines was not long in coming: "The stage cost 2800 euros plus all-inclusive VAT, even the work of the person who assembled it. We collected the money through crowdfunding, they gave us 6200 euros in all. We will do a detailed reporting also for this event, as we have already done for that of San Giovanni ".

(2/2) Congratulations to @sardinediromaOF who found 6200 € for today! As always, we collect the money via crowdfunding, and then report in detail.

To the @sbuffagni deputy who asks ironically which financiers we have behind us, we answer: a COMMUNITY. 🐟 pic.twitter.com/vW5Oh7lgtG

The four Bolognese founders of the sardines, including Mattia Santori, will not be present today at the Rome demonstration because they are busy preparing tomorrow's sit-in in Bologna for the release of Patrick Zaki. Santori will be in Scampia tomorrow to prepare for the national sardine meeting, which will take place there on 14 and 15 March.

The request for Conte
Completely abolish the security decrees, approved by the Conte 1 government. It is the request that the Sardines will advance from the Roman stage in Piazza Santi Apostoli, during the event scheduled for this afternoon. This is what filters from sources within the movement and which will lead to Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte when the meeting will take place, which has not yet been officially fixed. In recent days, the rumor of an imminent meeting at Palazzo Chigi had spread, which then waned.
