Pupil was stabbed in the back with a pen by another student

Between 2017 and 2019, a student in Kungsbacka was subjected to repeated cases of abuse and abusive treatment by another student. Despite this, the school never reported the events to the municipality, despite the fact that there were clear testimonials from, among other things, teachers.

At one point it went so far that the student was stabbed in the back with a pen. Finally, the parent tired and reported the events to the School Inspectorate.

The municipality has the ultimate responsibility for the work against school violations and should therefore be paid attention to if this happens. However, this never happened. On the other hand, the school itself investigated the events and put, among other things, a resource in the classroom to calm the mood. However, the resource was removed after a while for unclear reasons, the School Inspectorate writes in its report.

The School Inspectorate criticizes the school for not reporting the events to the municipality and for taking too long before acting on the treatments. However, some new incidents have not been reported in 2019 and it is believed that the school has now managed to overcome the violations and therefore chose not to intervene.
