Agnès Buzyn, the Minister of Health, will replace Benjamin Griveaux in the race at the Paris City Hall, AFP announced Sunday, February 16. The latter had withdrawn his candidacy after the dissemination of sexual videos on the Internet.

"I'm going there to win," said the new candidate, who was asked for several days by a number of Marchers and partners of La République en Marche (LREM) in the Battle of Paris. "Ms. Buzyn is leaving the government" and should be replaced in the next few hours at the Ministry of Health, sources inside the presidential party said.

The Minister of Health was appointed Sunday by the national investiture commission of the presidential party to succeed Benjamin Griveaux.
