She was arrested in December for assaulting her partner

The representatives of the star blame the prosecutor for setting up a "trial-show."

The British presenter Caroline Flack (40) was found Saturday without life in her home. After hearing the news, the family lawyer confirmed that Caroline had committed suicide.

The representatives of the presenter accuse the prosecution of setting up a "trial-show" against a "vulnerable" person, after being accused of assaulting her boyfriend.

Known for presenting the reality show "Love Island" and to which she had romantically related to Prince Harry and singer Harry Styles, Flack was going to be judged in March. Arrested in December, he was accused of beating his partner, tennis player Lewis Burton , with a lamp while he slept in his home north of London.

Burton denied in an Instagram post the facts, saying "he hadn't hit him with a lamp." Both continued to maintain the relationship and the tennis player published today a photograph with her on the aforementioned social network explaining that her heart is "broken."

The Prosecutor's Office "should reflect on how they organized a trial that was not only unfounded but lacked public interest. Ultimately, this caused great distress for Caroline," the presenter's representatives added in a press release.

"Caroline has been under tremendous pressure in recent months because of this case and a possible trial that has been postponed several times," said Francis Ridley of Money Talent Management.

The future of the television show "Love Island", broadcast on the ITV channel, is now in question after this latest event. Caroline Flack is the third person linked to this program who commits suicide, after Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Graydon , two of the participants.

The heart press echoed this issue, spreading it on the front page since the arrest took place. His suicide has caused Flack to reappear in the headlines of British tabloids.

An initiative through the network that collected more than 150,000 signatures on Sunday asks to investigate the media after his death and also the "ill-treatment" inflicted on the princely couple Harry and Meghan.

For host David Bull , "there is no doubt that social networks played an important role" in this case. "I would like people to think more seriously about what they tweet," he added on Twitter.
