And three for Juan Sebastian Molano! The Colombian from UAE Team Emirates won a third victory in the 2020 edition of the Tour of Colombia, after a spectacular final sprint with his compatriot Alvaro Hodeg, on Saturday in the penultimate stage of the cycling race.

Moleno, 25, was once again ahead of the Deceuninck Quick-step runner. Another Colombian, Jonathan Restrepo (Androni Giocattoli), placed third, slightly behind.

"The last kilometer was complicated, a little technical and the Deceuninck masters his tactics well," said Moleno after the finish.

After this 5th and penultimate stage, of 182.6 km between the towns of Paipa and Zipaquira, the American team of Education First nevertheless retained its supremacy in the general classification with Sergio Higuita at the head, then Daniel Martinez and Jonathan Caicedo .

With a time of 4:05:59, Molano claimed his fourth career victory at the Tour of Colombia, after a first success in the 2019 edition.

This year, after having won the second and third stages, Molano reigned Saturday over the adopted lands of Egan Bernal, winner of the Tour de France.

The Deceuninck Quick-step team set the pace in the final meters, but Molano benefited from the support of his compatriot Sergio Luis Henao and the Argentinian Maximiliano Richeze, who opened the way for him to face and defeat Hodeg.

The last stage of this third edition of the Tour of Colombia will pass through Bogota on Sunday before arriving at El Verjon, a second category mountain pass, at 3,290 meters.
