It is noted that during the meeting “taking into account the socio-political changes taking place in Sudan, topical issues of further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Sudanese relations were examined, including building mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, investment, humanitarian and other fields, as well as strengthening cooperation in international arena, including within the UN. ”

The parties also discussed the issues of resolving crises and conflict situations in the Middle East and Africa, with emphasis on the tasks of ensuring stability in Darfur and South Sudan.

Earlier, the representative of the Government of Sudan, the Minister of Culture and the Media, Faisal Muhammad, said that Khartoum was reconsidering its participation in the war in Yemen.
