According to the Russian minister, Haftar is not a symbol of separatism, but a recognized party to the conflict in Libya by the international community.

The Russian Foreign Minister added that the Libyan conflict began with the destruction of the state of Libya as a result of an absolutely illegal action undertaken by NATO in 2011.
