The president of the National Rally (RN) Marine Le Pen on Saturday in Sète (Hérault) supported an ex-leader of the Republicans, candidate for municipal elections in this city, believing that this "union of rights" marks a "cultural revolution" .

Former President of the Republicans (LR) in Hérault, Sébastien Pacull is seeking a mayor mandate in Sète at the head of a list supported by the extreme right movement of Mrs. Le Pen.

"He is one of the representatives of the rallying and opening capacity of the National Rally. It is a novelty for our movement. It is a form of cultural revolution," said Marine Le Pen during a press conference .

A dozen other candidates for municipal elections in Hérault were also present, including "a majority of them at the head of a union list", said Jean-Louis Cousin, departmental delegate of RN, evoking a "Pacull effect which spreads in the department".

In Hérault, Robert Ménard was elected mayor of Béziers in 2014 with the support of the National Front, renamed from RN, thanks to a triangular and he also supports the principle of a "union of the rights".

"It has been very rare in the past for the National Rally to support candidates who are not from our movement. It is my desire to implement this rally," said Marine Le Pen.

"We are a list of realistic people facing progressives", for his part supported Sébastien Pacull, former deputy of the mayor of Sète François Commeinhes who presents himself, with the double nomination La République en Marche (LREM) and LR.
