Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoغلlu said, "Some Gulf countries think that they are able to buy countries and change their systems with their money, considering that Turkey's stability is linked to stability in the Gulf."

This came in a speech during a session held in the framework of the Munich Security Conference, under the title "Building bridges in troubled waters: reducing tension in the Gulf".

Gawishoglu said, "The actions of some Gulf countries are very dangerous in the region, because they think that with their money and their access to American and Israeli support, they are able to change everything, buy countries and change regimes everywhere."

"For example, these countries support Haftar because they believe that democracy in any Arab country constitutes a threat to their regimes, and therefore support Haftar to bring him to power through a military operation."

He stressed that "Turkey's relations with the legitimate government in Libya (National Accord) restored the field balance to this Arab country, and that Turkey played a pivotal role with Russia to achieve a ceasefire in the country."

He pointed out that Turkey continues to contribute to finding a political solution in Libya, despite the violations of the Haftar ceasefire forces.

On the other hand, Gawishoglu pointed out that the recent Gulf crisis is artificial, and that Turkey has worked to provide assistance in resolving issues in the region, stressing that Turkey's stability and security is linked to stability and peace in the Gulf region.
