The warnings apply from Vessigebro and north in Ätran and from Knäred and east in Lagan. There is a risk of minor flooding problems.

- These are high but manageable flows. We follow the situation and make it known within the organization what the situation looks like, ”says Patrik Josefsson, emergency response officer at Rescue Service West.

Further south you work in a similar way.

- We check the weather situation all the time, but as the situation is now we do nothing, says Patrik Pettersson, intervention manager at the Rescue Services in Båstad / Laholm.

Manageable situation - so far

Through its power plants, Statkraft can partially control the water flow in Lagan and Nissan. Henrik Jatkola, the power plant manager in Laholm, notes that there are high levels right now, but considers that the situation is still manageable so far.

- We had a similar situation last year and in 2017 it was even slightly higher than now. But we have a little extra preparedness to deal with it. We are aware that high water flows can cause problems along the watercourses and try to smooth the flow through the bottling in our plants. We have the capacity to increase more if needed, says power plant manager Henrik Jatkola.
