The Dennis storm, which is going to cause strong gusts of wind this weekend, will also bring relatively high temperatures, Weeronline reports Friday. As a result, Sunday can become the first spring-like day of the year, with temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees.
On Sunday afternoon Dennis is probably only at the peak, but at that time the mercury in the provinces of Noord-Brabant and Limburg can also rise to 16 and locally 17 degrees.
The rest of the Netherlands can feel temperatures of 14 to 15 degrees, about the average temperature at the end of April, Weeronline says.
Storm Dennis can cause gusts of wind up to 80 kilometers per hour in the coastal areas on Saturday evening. On Sundays the wind can be 90 kilometers per hour and in the northwest the storm can cause gusts of wind from 100 to 110 kilometers per hour.
Possible showers, but not a very rainy day
The gusts of wind can be accompanied by showers on Sunday, but it is unlikely that it will become very wet and periods of drought may also occur regionally.
Storm Dennis is a major depression between Scotland and Iceland, which will be particularly strong in Ireland and Northern England. In Ireland, wind force 10 or even 11 is expected by Dennis.
