“Determining the exact source and time of the attack is a time consuming process, but the Iranian telecommunications infrastructure company is working on this issue,” Jalali added.

He noted that the Americans "cannot give a military response to Iran’s steps, including the downed (US drone. - RT ) Global Hawk and the IRGC missile strike on the American base in Iraq."

“Therefore, they continue to impose sanctions against us and conduct cyber attacks in retaliation,” the military official stressed.

On February 9, Iran’s deputy minister of information and communications technology, Hamid Fatahi, said Iranian experts repelled the “largest-scale” cyber attack in the country's history.

In June 2019, The Washington Post reported that U.S. President Donald Trump had approved a cyber attack, as a result of which the Iranian computer systems used to control missile launch were shut down.
