Cut trees and posts, a damaged gate and bus stop and even a broken fence… In recent weeks, between the municipalities of Brissac-Quincé and Beaulieu-sur-Layon, the gendarmes of Maine-et-Loire were confronted with an increase in suspicious damage to the extent that it appeared to have been carried out using a chainsaw-type machine. Thefts were also sometimes committed, reports Le Courrier de l'Ouest .
The investigation finally paid off and five young men were arrested. These two miners and three adults, who live in the area, acknowledged the facts. The amount of the damage still amounts to 21,000 euros, the daily said. They will have to answer for their actions before the criminal court and the children's judge.
