“February 20th p. on the initiative of Ukraine, the UN General Assembly will hold a special meeting on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, ”the department said.

The report said that the meeting will be attended by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vadim Priestayko.

Representatives of Kiev will also take part in a meeting of the UN Security Council on the Minsk Agreements, which Russia initiated.

Earlier, the First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky said that the Russian side requested the UN Security Council to hold a meeting on February 18 to analyze the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
