For several years Peter Högberg has worked as a school nurse at the high school in Jönköping and he sees major changes in the behavior of young people in just a few years.

- It has changed over time. In the past, you slept more because you had less to do on social media and to stay updated.

Absence and poor results

He believes that students' lack of sleep leads to involuntary absenteeism and poorer results in school. He gets support from the students we meet. Of the three students we speak with, only one sleeps the eight hours that school physician Jenny Lorefors recommends.

- I think the school will be more fun if you sleep more because then you have more focus, says Maja Jacobsson.

What do you do to sleep well?

- I train and then I get tired.
