• Catalonia.Carme Forcadell will leave prison three days a week to take care of her mother

After this Wednesday the prison of Mas d'Enric granted the former president of the Parliament, Carme Forcadell, the situation of semi-freedom to perform volunteer duties and take care of her elderly mother, this Thursday was the turn of other former councilors of the Generalitat that had requested it, Joaquim Forn and Dolors Bassa. The Treatment Board of the Lledoners prison agreed to apply Article 100.2 of the prison regulations to Forn, so he will go to work 12 hours a day every day from Monday to Friday, and return to jail to sleep.

For its part, the Treatment Board of the Puig de les Basses prison allows Dolors Bassa to leave three days during the week for 8 hours to take care of an elderly relative. A few months ago, Bassa had had prison permits to visit his mother in the hospital, since she was sick.

Forn and Bassa will be able to leave immediately if they wish since the decision of the prisons will go to the prison surveillance court that must endorse or reject it, although while studying it it does not paralyze its execution. The Prosecutor's Office could also appeal. Jordi Cuixart and Jordi Sànchez were the first to get 100.2 a week ago and this Thursday the president of Òmnium went to work at his company.
