DRC: ANR questions and interviews its ex-boss for several hours

A senior official of the National Intelligence Agency confirmed this arrest of Kalev Mutondo Wednesday early in the afternoon when he got off the plane. He was then taken to the Agency's headquarters, located in the city center, for an interview.

At the very start of the interrogation, the man, who had his two mobile phones, answered calls from third parties, denying his arrest and claiming that he was either sitting quietly at his home, or that he had gone to the hotel. 'ANR to visit its former deputy who has become titular.

The officers interrogating him then confiscated his devices until the end of the hearing, around 7:00 p.m., the time at which he was authorized to return to his home.

On the merits of the case, the ANR, like Kalev Mutondo, remained silent. According to our sources, the ex-boss of the ANR is suspected of being at the center of a conspiracy to destabilize the new power in Kinshasa. A project revealed during his last trip to Uganda. Kalev Mutondo therefore remains at the disposal of the services " whenever we need him, " said a source close to the investigation.
