In a series of articles, SVT has reviewed the criticized care home Rosenhill care and care in Älmeboda, Tingsryd municipality. Yesterday, IVO announced that the license for Rosenhill to conduct the business was revoked. It is believed that the deficiencies previously discovered by the authority have not been rectified and that there are still serious maladministration of the accommodation.

Following a change in the Social Services Act last year, IVO can also assess whether owners are unfit to conduct business. This has been done by the authority in the case of Rosenhill's owners, and has concluded that they lack both insight and the ability to conduct the business.

Housing should be liquidated by March 3 this year.

Oskarshamn does not move its users

Previously, Växjö, Lessebo, Emmaboda and Ronneby had all users of the accommodation that has now been relocated. Oskarshamn municipality, on the other hand, still has a user who is placed on the accommodation. But despite the fact that IVO has announced that Rosenhill's license is revoked, the user should not be relocated before the municipality has been notified of a decision.

- If we get a formal decision from IVO then we will of course move on that person. Then the accommodation cannot run its business and then we have to find a solution. We will therefore act when we have made a decision, ”says Harriet Hveen-Hugosson, Head of Unit at Oskarshamn Municipality.

Did you not have reason to move on the person already when the maladies were discovered?

- No, we have done follow-ups on site in connection with what was discovered a while ago. Both the elderly care manager and the head of government were there. They found that the user who was placed there was doing well, so we had no need to worry.

SVT has previously contacted the owners of Rosenhill who declined to comment.
