It was at the end of August last year that the police conducted a house search in two apartments, one in Torvalla and one in central Östersund. There, several finds were made - among them just over four kilos of explosives were found in the apartment in Torvalla. The apartments were both used by the 39-year-old man who is now sentenced to prison.

The 39-year-old is sentenced on five counts:

* Act on flammable and explosive goods, serious crime.

The 39-year-old has admitted that he had the explosive in his possession but that he did not know it was explosive. He has said that he found a bag in the forest when he was out walking and that he brought it home.

However, the district court considers that this explanation is so unlikely that it must be made without regard. The district court finds that the 39-year-old thus handled the goods without permission.

* Rough weapons offense.

In the apartment, the police also found a gun. The 39-year-old has not wanted to be known to the gun, but the district court says he could not give any real explanation as to why the weapon was still there. The district court writes that the weapon, which has no legal area of use, was in an environment that had criminal elements, which shows that there was a risk that the weapon would come to criminal use.

* Drug offenses.

Nearly a kilo of drugs were found in the 39-year-old's apartment. The man himself has said that it was for his own use but it finds the district court quite unlikely.

* Money Laundering Crimes.

In the 39-year-old's apartment, about SEK 400,000 was found in cash. Some of them were vacuum-packed. The man has said he won at casinos and black clubs. However, the district court considers that the circumstances show that the money comes from crime.

* Call doping offense

In the apartment were also found doping agents. The man has stated that he has a prescription for this, which the prosecutor did not refute. On the other hand, he lacked a prescription for three of the thirteen pens that were found, and he was sentenced for that holding.

* Threats to official

During early interrogations, the man threatened two police officers. The man has acknowledged why the district court also convicts him on that point.

Freeze at one point

The 39-year-old was also charged with preparing for the destruction of a dangerous substance. The prosecutor said he would use the explosives found in the apartment for criminal purposes.

But according to the district court, there are no clear plans for the explosive to be used for a specified crime. There is no concrete crime plan. Therefore he is freed at that point.

The 31-year-old is completely freed

In the trial, a 31-year-old man also was charged with a serious weapon offense, suspected of having the gun found. However, he is acquitted by the district court. Admittedly, there are circumstances to indicate that he also handled the gun, but that is not enough for a convict, the district court writes.
