Four fishermen rescued off the island of Noirmoutier - Atlantic Maritime Prefecture

Their boat was about to run aground on Île du Pilier, about 6 km from Noirmoutier Island, in Vendée. Four fishermen were rescued just in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, reports in a statement the Regional Operational Center for Surveillance and Rescue (Cross) Etel. The crew of the fishing vessel "L'Entêté" was in great difficulty when they gave the alert, around 11:30 pm, with a wind of force 5.

The four men were towed aboard a helicopter specially from La Rochelle. They returned to the mainland shortly before 1:30 am, at the port of L'Herbaudière. The maritime authorities, who call for caution, indicate that the fishing vessel is still stranded.
